Pasta salad
Simple pasta salad recipe. You can even use leftover pasta:
Ingredients:
- Pasta
- Italian salad dressing
- Chopped cucumbers, tomatoes, olives (any vegetables your kids like)
- Grated cheese of your choice e.g Parmesan
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions:
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl
Hot dog or sausage rolls
Quick do it your self sausage rolls.
Ingredients:
- 1 roll pastry dough (home made or store bought)
- Hot dogs or sausages of your choice
Instructions:
- Roll out the dough
- Cut into squares, rectangles or triangles
- Place the hotdogs or sausages on one end of the cut dough and roll upĀ
- Place on baking sheet
- Bake at 180 degrees celsius (356 Fahrenheit) for 15 to 20 minutes
Potatoe omelette
This is a simple potato omelette recipe:
Ingredients:
- 3 medium sized potatoes
- 3 large eggs
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Grated Parmesan
- Olive oil
- Half of a large onion
Instructions:
- Peel and rinse the potatoes, then cut into thin slices.
- Chop the onions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and fry the onions for 1 minute, then add the sliced potatoes and let them cook until tender
- In a bowl add the eggs, salt, pepper and parmesan and mix well.
- Add the egg mixture into skillet with the potatoe and onion
- Cook on medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes (or until the eggs are set).
- Flip the omelette over and cook the other side for 5 to 6 minutes.
This can be served at room temperature or cold.
Optional: add other ingredients of your choice. I like to add, a teaspoon of dried parsley, tuna pieces or bacon bits to the egg mixture.
